Day 1: Arrival and first stage
Day 1: Arrival and first stage

STAGE 1: GENEVA – ANNECY (55km, 800mts positive gain)
Arrival at the airport of Geneva. Our Tour starts from the moment you leave the airport. We cycle out of the airport, through the city of Geneva and, after a first surprise/ambush, we leave Switzerland and cycle through the tranquil, green fields until we arrive at beautiful Annecy. Our “time trial” consists of cycling the streets of this quaint little town. We continue along the lake until we arrive at our hotel.

Day 2: QUEEN STAGE: ANNECY – COL DE LA MADELEINE
Day 2: QUEEN STAGE: ANNECY – COL DE LA MADELEINE

QUEEN STAGE: ANNECY – COL DE LA MADELEINE (80km 2100mts positive gain)
The second day of our Tour is the queen stage with the mythical col de la Madeleine. We attack this climb from the mountain’s most beautiful side. This is truly a giant of the Tour and the landscape is more dramatic with every turn. The final of this climb is exactly what you expect it to be: epic! From here we can see all the mountains that we are going to climb. A short descent and we arrive at our hotel, at 1700m altitude.

Day 3: COL DE LA MADELEINE – SAINT MICHEL DE MAURIENNE
Day 3: COL DE LA MADELEINE – SAINT MICHEL DE MAURIENNE

STAGE 3: COL DE LA MADELEINE – SAINT MICHEL DE MAURIENNE (60km, 1400mts positive gain)
Since the Tour started to be televised, the Tour directors have started to look not only for the tougher stages, but also for the most beautiful landscapes. Today´s stage is of extraordinary beauty. We start with a 10 km descent towards the lesser known but stunning Col de Chaussy, with extraordinary views. A fast descent and we start our second climb of the day, the Lacets de Monvernier, no doubt one of the most spectacular and photogenic climbs in the world. We continue through a canyon towards Saint Jean de Maurienne and further onto Saint Michel.
Option to continue and climb the Telegraph or Croix de Fer

Day 4: VALLOIRE – GALIBIER – BRIANÇON
Day 4: VALLOIRE – GALIBIER – BRIANÇON

STAGE 4: VALLOIRE – GALIBIER – BRIANÇON (50km – 1360m positive gain)
If we manage our strenghts well, this stage should not be too hard, bearing in mind that we have no less than the mighty Galibier to conquer. The last 8 km of this col are very challenging and it will feel like victory to arrive at the top (2645mts). During the descent we stop at Lautaret for lunch before continuing our descent to the capital of roadcycling, Briançon. Our stage ends here, unless you feel like following our guide up to the col of Isoard!

Day 5: BRIANÇON – EMBRUN – BARCELONETTE
Day 5: BRIANÇON – EMBRUN – BARCELONETTE

STAGE 5: BRIANÇON – EMBRUN – BARCELONETTE (55km, 600mts ) RECOVERY DAY
Our legs will appreciate this recovery day. We will enjoy the route to the beautiful little village of Embrun, passing through small mountain villages, castles, canyons and the lake of Embrun, famous for its legendary triathlon. After a nice lunch in Embrun, we take a small road to Barcelonette where we will spend the night.

Day 6: BARCELONETTE –LA BONETTE – ISOLA/SAINT SAUVEUR
Day 6: BARCELONETTE –LA BONETTE – ISOLA/SAINT SAUVEUR

STAGE 6: BARCELONETTE –LA BONETTE – ISOLA/SAINT SAUVEUR (65km - 1600mts)
If you thought that with the Madeleine and Galibier you have climbed to the top of the Tour de France, think again! In recent years, the Tour has surprised us with “ambushes” that can decide the race. We are going to taste one of those surprises, LA BONETTE, a col at 2802mts! This climb is long and tough, with absolutely spectacular views of the Alps. From the dense forests to the high plains and lunar landscape at the top, it does not get any better. An easy ride until we get to our hotel

Day 7: ISOLA/SAINT SAUVEUR – NIZA
Day 7: ISOLA/SAINT SAUVEUR – NIZA

STAGE 7 : ISOLA/SAINT SAUVEUR – NIZA (75km – 1000mts positive gain)
As in all Tours, the last stage tends to be more relaxed. We have a wonderful descent of 50 km through alpine landscape, and before arriving in Nice, we have a final climb to do and then we will be cruising the boulevard of Nice with the Mediterranean breeze welcoming us.
